About Me

Hi, I’m Charisse! For more than a decade, I’ve poured my heart into helping people turn their ideas into impact. My journey has taken me from leading a safe school as principal—where I worked side by side with students who needed a second chance—to creating programs that uplift families, schools, and communities.

As the Founder and CEO of Youth Transformation Services® (YTS), NFP, I focus on addressing equity and inclusion challenges with practical solutions. Through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, professional development, and community partnerships, I’ve had the privilege of seeing students and educators thrive. Along the way, I’ve been able to secure grants that brought resources where they were needed most—over $2.3 million annually during my years as a principal, and $75,000 (and counting!) for YTS.

As a parent steeped in mental illness, I authored At-Risk Students: Transforming Student Behavior, detailing the warning signs of disturbing behaviors, which are often overlooked by educators and/or misdiagnosed by mental health professionals.
